At the agreement signing ceremony in Can
Tho City today, July 7, representatives of the two sides pledged to create a
strong partnership in marketing and customer care services.
According to the agreement, Kishokai is to help Phuong Chau develop medical examination and treatment processes, in line with Japanese standards, especially in caring for premature infants.
The Japanese firm will also assist Phuong Chau Hospital to improve its services, and transfer its latest fertility and gynaecological cancer screening technologies to Vietnam.
In addition, Phuong Chau Hospital will receive professional support in management and operations from Kishokai.
Mamoru Yamashita, CEO of Kishokai Medical Corporation, said Kishokai, which is Japan's largest perinatal primary care provider, annually provides care to an average of 9,000 newborns.
Phuong Chau and Kishokai have many similarities in development strategies and strengths to support each other. Besides Vietnam, Kishokai has cooperated with hospitals in Mongolia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Rwanda.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ho, director of Phuong Chau International Hospital, said that the cooperation will help the hospital provide high-quality reproductive health services in localities besides Can Tho and Dong Thap. Of note, over the last seven years Phuong Chau has been successful in 65% of 1,400 in-vitro fertilization procedures.
