CAN THO - Nestle Vietnam’s Milo brand has signed a
cooperation agreement with the Departments of Education and Training of Can
Tho City and Vinh Long Province in the Mekong Delta to expand the “Active
Vietnam” program to these two localities.
Addressing the signing ceremony on
January 15, Ali Abbas, director of Nestle Milo and Nestle Vietnam, said
under the program, the company will organize sporting events and help
improve the physical fitness of primary students in the Mekong Delta.
This year, Nestle Milo will organize
football festivals, basketball tournaments for high school students,
walking events, and donate 50 basketball poles and 20 football goals to schools
in Can Tho and Vinh Long.
The “Active Vietnam” program is part of a
project called “Enhancing the physical stature of Vietnamese in the
2011-2030 period” jointly implemented by Nestle Vietnam, the Ministry of
Education and Training, and the General Department of Sports and Physical
Training.
The project seeks to encourage a healthy
lifestyle and frequent physical activity in the community, especially among
