Can Tho City to hold book fair next week

CAN THO - Can Tho City will organize a book fair at Luu Huu Phuoc Park in Ninh Kieu District from March 25 to 31.

Speaking at a press conference on March 22, Do Hoang Trung, director of the Department of Information and Communications of Can Tho, said the book fair is expected to encourage reading in the community and introduce the history, culture, and people of Can Tho in particular and the southern region in general.

The fair will be attended by more than 70 local and international publishers and communications companies, with nearly 300 booths introducing over 196,000 book titles. Some booths will offer discounts of 20% to 45%.

There will be a special booth presenting 1,000 books about the life of late President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s seas and islands, Industry 4.0 tech and dictionaries.

The event will also feature a wide range of interesting activities such as 3D painting with Faber-Castell, “Ambassador for reading culture” contest, a workshop on reading, talks with authors, calligraphy, kids’ day, book signing, and tree decoration.
